Brendan Gorman, Director
Coach Brendan Gorman is the Head Coach for Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey. Brendan is the founder of the Chicago Outlaws Mens box lacrosse team. The team formed in 2011 where Gorman was the teams captain the first two seasons. He is also the former captain for the Irish National box team. He led the squad at the 2011 World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic, and the European championships in Lille, France last November.
Before moving to Illinois, Gorman played high school lacrosse in the prestigious Hudson Valley region of New York. He is the only lacrosse player voted into the Albertus Magnus High School Hall of Fame. Gorman finished his playing career as the school’s all time leader in points, holding 7 scoring records. He was an all league, all section, all state player as well as his team’s MVP.
After H.S. Gorman played briefly at Elmira College in Western N.Y. before moving out west and switching sports where he was a Collegiate All American in Rugby at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Brendan has a passion for the box lacrosse game. He has dedicated himself to the growth of the game. His hybrid training methods are second to none when it comes to player development.

Tom Prior, Director of Defensive Training
Tom’s lacrosse story reaches back to the late 80’s, when he was starting goalie for Springfield (Mass.) College. Tom was in the net when the team, ranked eighth nationally in Division III that year, went to the 1992 NCAA Championship Tournament.
After earning his B.S. in Physical Education from Springfield and then Master’s in Special Education from Long Island University, Tom embarked on a successful career as a teacher and a coach.
Following stints at Clarkstown South and Nyack High Schools, he spent five years as assistant varsity coach at Yorktown High School. During that time, the Huskers’ program was ranked in the top 20 for the nation, winning five section finals, four state regional finals and four state semi-final games.
From there, he became goalie coach and defensive assistant first at Manhattan College and then Dominican College, before starting the lacrosse program at Tappan Zee High School as head coach. In 2002, he moved to the international level as goalie coach and defensive assistant for Ireland’s national team, which played in the Lacrosse World Games in Australia that year.
In 2003, he was acting head coach for team’s exhibition tour in Ireland. As head coach the next year, he led the team to a 6-1 record at the 2004 European Championships in the Czech Republic, winning the Cyan Division. Under his leadership, Ireland won silver at the 2012 European Championships, its best finish ever in the tournament.

Bill Miller, Athletic Director and Former Head Lacrosse Coach at Valley Central HS, NY
Bill has 25 years of lacrosse coaching experience (Hudson Valley, Long Island and Upstate New York). Founder of the Valley Central HS lacrosse program in 2002 Bill compiled a career record of 199-86. During his 15 year career at Valley Central HS, VC won 2 Section Championships and 1 OCIAA Championship. Bill coached 4 All-Americans during his tenure at VC and was named US Lacrosse Mid-Hudson Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2008 and named Times Herald Record Coach of the Year in 2008.
In 2012 Bill was named Head Coach of the Section 9 Select All-Star Team which played Team Ireland and was Section 9 Exceptional Senior Game Head Coach in 2016.
Before starting the program at Valley Central, Bill coached 9 years on Long Island while teaching Physical Education at Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.
Bill is a career teacher and coach who graduated from Cortland State with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education where he played football and club lacrosse. After graduating from Cortland he attended Hofstra University graduating with a Master of Science Degree.
A native of Syracuse, Bill played lacrosse and football at East Syracuse- Minoa HS where he was named All Section and All League.
Bill Bacon-Travel Team Coach
A Graduate of Clarkstown High School South and SUNY Oswego, Bill is currently a Technology Teacher at Valley Central Middle School. He resides in Montgomery, NY with his wife Holly and 2 collegiate age sons Billy and Kyle.
He began his Coaching Career in 1990, serving as the Freshman Boys Lacrosse Coach at Clarkstown High School North. Bacon served as JV and Varsity Assistant Coaches at both Valley Central and Pine Bush High Schools. He was selected US Lacrosse Mid-Hudson Region Assistant Coach of the Year and Man of the year.
Bacon co-founded Raptors Youth Lacrosse Club and the Pine Bush Youth Lacrosse Club. He served as a counselor at UMASS Lacrosse Camp, Niners Lacrosse and is the Director of Pine Bush Youth Lacrosse Camp. Bacon still competes at men’s club lacrosse level. He will serve as the Modified Boys Soccer and Modified Boys Lacrosse coach at Valley Central in the upcoming school year.
